This is a very old pen and ink sketch with watercolour wash added. It shows a chestnut tree in April, at this time devoid of leaves. Behind the tree on the right, is an old gate house. The big houses on the left have a wonderful view over the Westwood were lots of walkers exercise their dogs and in late April early May, cattle appear.
