Quick impression in a sketchbook of the view from a hide on my first visit to Tophill. Saw a frog (;o). What a wonderful place to visit, I heard my first cuckoo and saw a female goosander on one of the reservoirs. From the hide I could see a variety of geese, a swan, tufted duck and moorhen. In front of the hide were twigs placed for kingfishers which, on this visit remained elusive.
Hope to return and do some paintings of the site, plus birds of course.
