An iPad painting of trees in a field near South Dalton. Painted at the site in winter and again yesterday (20th May ) as I was passing. The difference is dramatic. I am amazed at the changes, in particular at the moment as the verges are fresh, bright green with tall cow parsley flowering prolifically on delicate stems. The subtle lime greens of cross-wort and the beautiful cream flowers on dead nettle provide a simple palette. Elsewhere campion is flowering strongly with late bluebells hanging on.
Short video here showing the transition from winter to summer.
