iPad sketch |
What a day. I helped a shepherd rescue a lamb which had got out onto Bailey Road.
Yesterday another one was loose and on the road at Lund Moor Farm!!...Then, after stopping several times
to check for views to paint I ended up here, I thought it should be called
Fotherdale, actually not, it is Thixen Dale. The road leads to the dew pond, at the moment full of
newts, where, opposite the pond, the Thixendale valley walk can be taken. Past the pond the area is, in fact Fotherdale. This is an iPad
sketch, with these I hope that fellow artists or art faculties at schools
perhaps, could use them to make their own painting. The video is short
but can be stopped or paused to help see the stages more clearly, and
indeed copied. This was one of two sketches done on the day. The next one was in fact, a 3x2 feet painting which was done from the road to Martinholme Farm, above Thixendale.....more later.
PS…..Yesterday I was watching swallows …swallows!! My first of the year at Lund Moor.
