Bluebell wood and bluebell wood shoes....

Firstly, 'hi' to the grandmother and her two grand daughters, I will remember to check the Queen Margherita story.

Thought I would try a larger picture of the bluebell wood near Lund and thought it would be fun to use the pochade box. It worked well, I think, each picture will stand on it's own but my notion is to sell them as a set. As I approached the bluebells I saw Wayne's neighbour was walking his elderly Alsatian, a lovely dog, past the  wood.  I walked to the west side of the wood thus sheltered from the cold easterly wind. I also knew that this was the best side to appreciate the bluebells being lit up by the afternoon sun.

George settled and I started to layout the centre picture ( can you see anyone?). I held up the left and right canvases and sketched out the main continuity lines, the began to add more details. I kept changing canvases and tried to mix the bluebell colours to reflect the violet tinges and to include the sunlit bleached areas. FSD arrived with both refreshments and another dog. We all settled and soon got a pleasing message involving a successful job interview which was particularly welcome. I continued after they left and finally stopped at about 6.30...having started sometime after 12 noon...a long session but satisfying.
