Long Lane, Beverley as it was before the South Bypass and infill building.

Here is a print showing Long Lane looking south before the building of the Southern Bypass. The area is now being developed for housing and I saw my last local deer just a couple of months ago. I have not seen any water voles this year which is a great sadness. I like this view very much. The cottage is now a kennels and cattery and in fact, cannot be seen now as the bypass blots it out. The quiet beauty of the old lane is being lost.
