Black Mill with St. Mary’s

 Another original half imperial watercolour from my series in 2002. At the time both poplars could be seen. Sadly only one remains though another tree has been planted nearby. As the summer goes forward grasses become very colourful. Grasshoppers appear  making the Westwood seem a living clock. Walking through the long grasses disturbs the grasshoppers and day flying moths. Golfers can be seen with colourful outfits, often searching for lost balls in the tussocks grass.
