Sometimes when sketching a scene a sort of magic happens. Here is a sketch of Lairgate, Beverley looking towards the tower of a distant St.Mary’s Church. It started as just another sketch but when I added colour it transformed into much more. I started by noticing the large old tree and thinking that I should record it before it disappeared. I like the inclusion of the ‘bus stop, this view will be so familiar to those catching a ‘bus. It is printed onto thick card with a wonderful glossy finish and looks superb in a frame.
