September15th 2023.
Took George for a morning walk to Holme on the Wolds where, afterwards I saw this view. I was late morning with the sun behind a silhouetted Holmedale Farm, high on the hill. Swiftdale Plantation brooded alongside to the left, with tree forms beginning to be revealed as the sun travelled west. It was interesting to stand in the stubbled field which seemed to shine in the sun, a tapestry of pale hues and linear memories. This is a 12x10 inch, oil on canvas and will be available soon in my online store with price reduced until December 1st.
Just a reminder that the Beverley Open Studios event takes place soon, details here
I will not be taking part this year but urge you to try and visit.
My Book, showing sketches of the Yorkshire Wolds has been very well received by art lovers all over the world. It is a collectible, limited edition book.
