Fleetwith Pike, Cumbria, original watercolour.

Wow, this is such a special painting. After walking around the lake we stopped and I walked into the shallows. I set up the easel and began drawing the scene. After a while I looked down at my bare feet and saw lots of tiny, almost invisible fish. They were nibbling my toes. This is an iconic view of Fleetwith Pike often captured on camera. The painting is on heavy water colour paper measuring 22x15 inches ( half imperial ). It will look amazing in a frame and I would recommend Ford Framing in Beverley to carry this out. It had been a warm day and after walking clockwise from the car park at Gatesgarth, passing the woodland we stopped at Buttermere village before continuing and walking through the tunnel, eventually reaching this spot.
