Before the bridge before the road, the sentinel watches.

 A very old sketch before house building in the field behind the sentinel. This is a sketch of the old willow, which has grown enormously since I did this. The road to new housing passes here, I think the upright post extreme right is still there now. Last year, about May time I watched tadpoles and newts in the stream when looking down from the new road. This is one of several sketches I made along Willow Lane to record the views which are now lost.
