Huggate from Northfield, Yorkshire Wolds.

A rare sunny day in March found me here at the entrance of Northfield Farm, where the cherry blossomed road is waking up. Large agricultural tankers passed me to and fro for most of the time I was there, sitting near a hedge with George on his bed. Took G for a walk, down into Cow Dale before returning to set off home. Just as I was doing this I was reminded by a local farmer who was just about to spray the emerging crop, that I was on private land. Oh dear, I do hate to upset the hard working farmers who need to work quickly and grab opportunities to dress their crops as the weather allows. I reassured him it would not happen again and left just as he was setting up his telematics and opening the huge boom arms.

Below are a couple of details from the sketch. I used an A4 landscape pad adding notes about colour in order to finish at home. I am processing many of my Yorkshire Wolds images for future publication and hope to report back soon. It is, however, turning out to be a challenging project.

Please remember that I have many prints available, as well as original work at my ONLINE SHOP. Also my blog includes lots more including free videos.
