Took a drive out to visit Millington where the Ramblers Rest was full and so I stood outside watching two dots on a hill. Thought they were farmers putting up some kind of shelter before realising that they were parafoil kite riders. I stood and watched as one took off and coursed the hillside back and forth before finding a strong updraught which resulted in him/her making very tight turns and thus corkscrewing higher and higher. Then traveled to the start of Millington Dale, just before the tight bends at Millington Wood. I thought I would try an ipad drawing of the view so here it is.
Short video of the sketch being made here.
The dead grasses and and 'weeds' from last season grew alongside the road standing out against the wintered hedges and trees, which had hints of lime yellow moss exposed in emerging sunlight.
It is one of a growing set of iPad sketches. Hope you like it. Please visit my online shop where I am starting to publish these.
