Beverley Minster from a thistled Westwood pasture.

Plein air painting on a beautiful still day in August. The straw coloured grasshoppers flew from beneath feet and disappeared into the dry pale strawed grass. A pair of kestrels hovered, dropped and disappeared before resuming. I was suddenly surprised when one hit the ground just a few feet away having not seen me as I painted in the shade of a tree. George asleep on his rug at my side oblivious...but cool. This shows Beverley Minster as viewed from the Westwood. It will be on display in my OPEN STUDIO event... go here for details.
