Lonely ash tree...near Lockington.

It is a sad fact that ash trees are under enormous pressure from desease. Many will disappear from our landscape over the coming years to become a memory. Here is one, near Lockington which still stands proud.

A5 sketch using a 0.3 pen, just before the light went.

I had walked George a short way along the road and was suddenly aware of a noise. I turned to see a large deer pop out from a hedge onto the road a few yards away. It ran into a field, assuming a bounding gait, sorta hopping on all legs it crossed the large field then through a hedge before disappearing across another field.

Thought I would show you this simple palette, very useful to get quick effects down.

Don't forget to order your 2022 calendar which makes an ideal Christmas present , all details here.
