Late evening iPad drawing, lovely to meet local people and put faces to names. As I sketched, huge agricultural vehicles passed by, preceded by another vehicle, with warning lights flashing. Young men driving enormous tractors towing very long, empty trailers crossed the busy main road somewhat rapidly. The collecting of bales of straw is in full swing and is urgently progressed. Contractors with JCB loaders race around the fields as trailers move and position themselves with efficient choreography to ensure quick, dry storage is achieved before the weather changes. Just as I was thinking of stopping another huge vehicle passed, a complex machine featuring articulated conveyor systems with a massive front mounted glazed operator cab, it was Grimme...(;o)....I think it may have been a potato harvester.
