....dusk near Lund Moor Farm, East Yorkshire.

 25th November 2020.

Walked George to the newly discovered Lund Moor Wood today to finish a painting that was started the day before. The wood has been cleared of brambles which had prevented any chance of walking through this small copse. It is a hidden wood, yet well known to some people, where, in spring the leaf strewn ground is covered with bluebells. I have never been before but intend to visit again and paint when the bluebells are in bloom. A local man also told us that the nearby Lund Moor Plantation also had an abundance of bluebells. Today I finished off the painting at the site with George sitting at my feet, off his lead but content to sit and watch. I needed to visit a nearby land drain to get some water which required negotiating a slippery steep bank. I was okay descending but could'nt get back up, especially as I was carrying the water. George climbed to the top of the bank, let me grab his collar and he reversed to help me up....such a clever dog.

As I packed up and reached the car two horse riders stopped and I gave one of the horses an apple.

12x10 inch, oil on canvas board. POA email me here

Also I have just a few calendars left details here.
