Murmuration hunting at Lockington proved fruitless, still too early, however walking George around the village I saw these six pines. Much appreciated by local people though the owner of the land is not too enamoured with them when they drop masses of cones.
A family pass, two girls on horses, parents cycling along with two dogs and we exchange pleasantries. A walker passes, then re-passes saying he has earned a nice cup of tea. It is a quiet road. I was pleased to see a red kite, it's white head glowing in the sun as it casually disregards the attentions of a mature solitary crow.
