Hi everyone, here is another print, a favourite of mine. I remember talking to the owner of Black House Farm, now used mainly for livery, who remarked on my likelihood of falling into the drain. I must admit I tended to agree, it was a balancing act, but one which made the painting that much more significant to me. A little way further on I would often see a deer in the remains of an old nursery garden.
From my 2013 original post.....
Back to Long Lane to try and record what the area looks like before the bypass.
This view soon to be lost as the embankment ( to support the Beverley southern bypass ) will pass a few metres away. Met some friendly people and enjoyed chatting. One local person mentioned that the height under the bridge, over this road, was to be 7 metres! The embankment therefore must massive.
SAW MY FIRST SWALLOW of the season, been in the UK for a little while especially in the south of England but this was my first sighting.
Also, a soaring buzzard in the distance just past the cottage.
Happy painting
