Sledmere House walled garden, East Yorkshire.

Eerie,
mysterious noises in the
empty
succulent greenhouse,
made me smile and
think how the venerable old building had
 some ahh.. aching bones....
but....
then....
J popped up at the far end,

where she had been collecting
 tomatoes 😀

Sledmere House, another visit where I painted listening to an inquisitive audience of serenading linnets. Wonderful.

12x10 inch oil on canvas board.

Whilst painting a young girl approached me, maybe 5 years old, and told me About all the 🐝 and that I hadn’t put any in the picture. I said I’ll put one in for you, and she smiled. Then a sister came over, so I said I’d add another 🐝 for her.

‘What about our other sister, can you add another’
I asked how many sisters are there.
They smiled and said three,
so another 🐝 was added, then, as father came over and admired the three bees....
they all walked away.
Plein air encounters are so memorable.
