My picture of the interior of the Minster was not selected unfortunately. The limitations of space available combined with the number of entries makes the blow a little less painful. The preview will be on Thursday 24th November 5.30 - 7.30. I will try to make it and if so, look forward to meeting old friends.
Here is the picture framed, it was done by Ford framing and they have done an excellent job. Hope YOU like it. *(;o).
I did the picture in about 5 visits to the Minster, sitting in the same position, with my wife being tolerant and waiting for a coffee. It is sketched straight onto the watercolour paper and I have tried to get the impression of height, the soaring roof. The style is pen and ink detailing the organ in particular and getting looser as we move away.
