This campanula looks better on the original will maybe scan again as the blues are too dark. This is a scan of a quick watercolour of a campanula from our garden. Our campanulas are wonderfully tall, delicate and ephemeral. The large flowers heads are indeed the shape of church bells. I love to see them developing, they produce long stems which seem too weak to support the flowers, yet they are quite tough and survive winds and being knocked about very well.
