Quick sketch Black Mill, Beverley with buttercups.

Hello everyone, here is a very quick sketch of Black Mill with an impression of the buttercups. Made from the car as the wind is still strong. I want to try this as a plein air oil before the buttercups disappear. It is interesting that the bright yellow was enhanced by viewing from downwind as the buttercup heads were being bent towards me revealing the amplified effect of the whole flower head. Something normally seen when looking straight down at them. If I turned round the vivid, bright yellow effect was diminished as the underside of the heads are less bright. Interesting. The crow is looking magnificent especially as it can be seen in great detail as it comes over for food.
