Beverley Minster in Autumn from Westwood. ( St. Mary's restoration appeal )

Plein air oil on canvas 12 x 10 inches.
Cancelled a trip to Castle Howard as the weather was grim, a grey day, cold and threatening rain. However late afternoon things brightened up and so we stopped to walk George and then tried a quick pochade box painting, deliberately rather loose in application. Tried to get the autumn colours, bright in the late sun, also to include some local people. A man passed walking his two spaniels as more people came up a grassy path heading for Black Mill.
A black cow looks over to others grazing wondering about the grass being greener perhaps.
Hope you like it.
St. Mary's church in Beverley, is in urgent need of funds for fabric repair etc. and I am offering this painting for sale - 100% of cost will be passed to St.Mary's restoration appeal. So, why not consider helping a noble cause and enjoy owning an original work of art.
Guide price £70 email me for details. Delivered free in Yorkshire.
