Ferens Open Exhibition 2023.

Great, but brief visit to the Ferens Art Gallery preview on Thursday evening. First time since Covid, but spooked a little by the numbers there, so left early. However, not before seeing the wonderful job the Ferens have made of hanging my multi-canvas painting of "A family in a Bluebell Wood". It is number 71. I was surprised not to see details pinned to the wall which indicate artist, medium and price. Though perhaps they will be added later. One point which people will be unaware of is that the painting has been done using just blue, yellow and red, with a tube of white. It has been an exercise in many ways, such as size, tessellation and using a severely limited palette. Hope you can pop along and have a look around.
