Black Mill, Beverley, East Yorkshire 9th August 2014.

Plein air oil on canvas 12x10
Early evening the sky changing rapidly, the setting sun beginning to colour the sky. People passed on the nearby road, cycling, walking and in cars. Most likely going home. And here we were witnessing the changing evening sky and watching distant cattle roaming, eating grass. They leave the thistles alone and large clumps can develop. These are mowed down occasionally to allow new grass to grow and be accessed by the hungry cattle. This view as you have guessed is preoccupying me at the moment. Hope you like it.
