Welsh Poppy.

Welsh Poppy, Meconopsis Cambrica.
As I needed to spend some time in the garden tidying up and planting some tubs we stayed at home. The rather wonderful, delicate Welsh poppy is one of our favourite plants. It is a wonderful little poppy which trembles  in the breeze. It goes through several stages, all of which, including the little "pepper pot" seed heads are of interest. I spotted some as I was gardening and thought I should attempt a quick, direct ink sketch. Doing this makes one really look and "see" the detail. The picture has been scanned and rendered, hope you like it.
