Guisborough Priory

Watercolour sketch - large A3 light cartridge paper.

Well, this is an old sketch which I did when visiting relations in Guisborough some years ago. It was a lovely day I recall and I had taken one of my relatives to the ruins of the Priory for a sketching session. Though quick and simply done I have always liked the result. I am putting this on the blog as now, one of the relations is very ill and it reminds me of happier times. Art can be very helpful in all manner of ways and seeing this again makes me remember when everyone was fit and well. As I mentioned, the Priory is a ruin now yet reminds us that the tiny town of Guisborough has a long and interesting history.
