Scorborough Church watercolour viewed from the East

Plein air watercolour from 1986 approx 12 x 10
PRINTS AVAILABLE
Here is an old watercolour of Scorborough Church which is a wonderful example of a church with a handsome, well proportioned spire. I intend to produce a few more paintings of the church, hopefully from different aspects. Since doing this painting the vegetation has grown hiding the cottage on the right. It was interesting to visit the spot with the original picture and to line up the views. Glad to say the two significant trees remain intact. The approach to the church crosses a delightful stream and, on the banks, snowdrops could be seen.
