Black House Farm from the west

Just back from attempting a plein air painting in the fields nearby.
Very strong wind made it a challenge to hold canvas steady.
A path follows a ditch irrigation stream - on one side cereal fields and , looking east towards Long Lane a farm house can just be seen. The farm is Black House Farm and provides stabling and grazing.  I always think it is amusing to see a white building. Looking across towards the farm I saw a farmer gathering the straw left over from harvesting. I liked the way the baler produced long rectangular bales, makes a change from the circular ones commonly seen these days.
Must remember - saw no swallows or martins, but did see two butterflies. One brown with small yellow dots which I need to look up ( a speckled wood butterfly), and a large peacock.
